Cyclone in deep sea off Konkan coast
A cyclone is forming in the deep sea off the Konkan coast. Its influence is visible on the Konkan and Goa coasts. The cyclone is forming in the east-central Arabian Sea from South Konkan and Goa coasts in about 110 km deep sea, and the impact of this cyclone is being seen between West-Panaji and Ratnagiri.
Monsoon’s return journey begins

The Meteorological Department had already announced that the Southwest Monsoon is withdrawing from Rajasthan. Also earlier, the Meteorological Department had predicted heavy rains in East India from September 29. Southwest Monsoon generally enters Kerala on 1st June, then covers the entire country by 8th July. Generally, the return journey of monsoon starts from 17th September. After that, the return journey continues till October 15.
