The boat overturned due to strong wind and waves in the sea. In this accident, three escaped safely. The two missing were identified as Satthiraj and Mylapalli Kripadas. This caused a great tragedy in the fishing village. Officials have launched a massive search for the duo.
Five fishermen went fishing in the sea in a fiber boat from near Kakinada Vakalapudi beach at four o’clock yesterday evening. While returning after finishing the fishing, the low-pressure trough has suddenly increased the gusty winds in the sea. At the same time the wave intensity is also high. They were about to reach the shore in another two hours, but the boat overturned due to the strong wind and waves. Three of them grabbed the boat and swam to the shore. Two others are missing. The search for them is going on.
