Holy shit – Wrestler Shivraj Rakshe of Khed taluka defeated wrestler Harshvardhan Sadgir and won the prize of Maharashtra Kesari. There is an atmosphere of excitement and joy in the village of Shivraj’s Rakshewadi (T.Khed) for winning the title of Maharashtra Kesari, which is considered as an honor and prestige, for the second time in a row. The family’s happiness has skyrocketed.
Shivraj became the champion of the recently held 65th Senior Maharashtra Kesari Wrestling Tournament at Dharashiv. The final fight for the Maharashtra Kesari title was between Harshvardhan Sadgir (Mati group) and Shivraj Rakshe (Gadi group).
This fight was very competitive. During the game, Harshvardhan got injured after Sadgir hit his hand. Finally, Shivraj Rakshe won the ‘Maharashtra Kesari Kitab’ by defeating Harshvardhan Sadgir one-sidedly.
Rakshe defeated Sadgir in a very bitter fight and won the mace of honour. Before this, there was a fight between Mahendra Gaikwad and Shivraj Rakshe to win the mace of honor of the Maharashtra Kesari wrestling tournament held in the month of January.
In it, Shivraj won the title of Maharashtra Kesari for the first time. Now, after getting this honor for the second time in a row, Shivraj has become ‘Double Maharashtra Kesari’. Although representing Nanded, Shivraj hails from Rakshewadi village near Rajgurunagar in Khed taluka of Pune district.
With the brilliant success of Shivraj, there is an atmosphere of excitement and happiness among wrestling fans in the taluk. He is showered with praises from social media. Shivraj did not come home after winning the title. He has gone directly from Dharashiv to Akkalkot for Devdarshan.
There is a happy atmosphere in Rakshewadi village and family. After arrival, preparations are underway to welcome home and village with gaiety. Shivraj’s mother Surekha Rakshe is the sarpanch of the village, while his father Kaluram Rakshe is a wrestler himself.
Elder brother Yuvraj is accompanying Shivraj like a shadow and taking care of him. ‘Shivaraj has achieved this success with great effort. Mother Surekha Rakshe reacted to our happiness.
Shivraj’s cousin and village police Patil Pappukaka Rakshe Patil says, ‘Getting the honor of getting Maharashtra Kesari for the second time in one year is not an easy thing. Shivraj’s determination and hard work are behind this. He has the support of home and village. That is why the family and the village are proud of Shivraj.’
