Pune Narcotics Trafficking Case’s Foundation to Big Traffickers Abroad, Shocking Information in Confidential Report | According to the police report Lalit Patil and his accomplices have links with big drug smugglers abroad

Pune : The Pune police filed a three-page confidential report against the accused in the drug trafficker Lalit Patil case in the court on Monday. According to the police report, Lalit and his accomplices are connected with big drug smugglers abroad. The police have taken action under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MOCCA) against Lalit Patil along with fourteen accomplices who were selling drugs from Sassoon Hospital.

Accused Imran Sheikh alias Atiq Ameer Khan and Harishchandra Pant were arrested after the investigation revealed the names of four more accomplices of Lalit in the drug trafficking case. Both were ordered by the court to be remanded in police custody till Monday (November 20). The police custody of eleven accused including Khan and Pant expired on Monday. Later, the police produced Lalit along with Subhash Mandal, Rauf Sheikh, Bhushan Patil, Abhishek Balakawade, Rehan alias Golu Ansari, Arvindkumar Lohre, Pragya Kamble, Jishan Sheikh, Shivaji Shinde, Rahul Pandit in the court.

In the investigation conducted by the police so far, many matters have come to light. The accused are suspected to have links with big drug smugglers from abroad. Information about how mephedrone was manufactured, stored and distributed was obtained during the investigation. The involvement of the accused in the crime has been revealed. The scope of the crime filed in the case of drug manufacturing and trafficking is huge. Public Prosecutor Adv. Vilas Pathare argued.

Mephedrone worth Rs 2 crore 14 lakh 30 thousand has been seized from the accused. Goods worth Rs 5 crore 11 lakh 45 thousand 500 such as 8 kg gold biscuits, expensive cars, mobile sets bought by the accused from selling drugs have been seized. The investigation of this matter has been completed. The reasons given for obtaining police custody are old. Therefore, the lawyers of the accused requested the court to give judicial custody to the accused.

After completing the arguments of both sides, Special Judge V. R. Kachre ordered to extend the police custody of Lalit Patil along with accomplices Arvind Lohre, Bhushan Patil, Jishan Sheikh, Rahul Pandit, Imran Sheikh, Shivaji Shinde, Harish Pant till November 24. Ordered to send accused Subhash Mandal, Rauf Shaikh, Abhishek Balakawade, Rehan Ansari, Pragya Kamble to judicial custody.
