Kannur: A case has been registered against 14 CPM-DYFI workers in the incident of beating up Youth Congress workers in Pashyangadi, Kannur. A case has been registered by the Pashyangadi police for attacking those who showed black flags to the Navakerala bus. The case is charged with seven counts including attempt to murder. According to the FIR, the Youth Congress worker was beaten on the head with a helmet, a pot and an iron rod. A case has been registered against 20 people, including 14 people who have been seen.

CPM workers thrashed the Youth Congress workers who waved the black flag when the cabinet bus reached Eripuram on its way to Thaliparam after the Kalyasseri Constituency Navakerala Sadas in Madaipara. The youth con district vice president was beaten up when the bus was passing by. The complaint is that the woman leader was beaten up in a group. District Vice President Sudheesh was surrounded and beaten up by CPM workers and Chief Minister’s security personnel. He was beaten with a helmet and a potted plant. MV Govindan alleged that there was a conspiracy behind showing the black flag. At the same time, K Sudhakaran and VD Satheesan responded that the CPM had carried out a planned attack and if it was decided to deal with it, the Chief Minister would be black flagged till Thiruvananthapuram.
