Rescue teams are engaged in horizontal drilling to rescue those trapped in the Uttarakhand tunnel.

Drinking water and oxygen are being provided to those trapped in the mine. Provision is also made for food and lighting. The families of those trapped in the mine have been accommodated in nearby hostels. He noted that some spoke to their families.
