Bomb threats to schools in Bangalore | Bengaluru Schools Get Bomb Threat On Mail, Staff Evacuated

Bangalore: Bomb threats to 15 schools in Bengaluru have sparked a local uproar. The e-mails were sent by unidentified persons on Friday claiming to carry out bomb blasts. Due to this, the school management and the students and their parents were panicked. The police evacuated the respective schools.

At first there were threats to bomb seven schools. Nepal and Vidyashilpa schools in Basaveshwar Nagar are in this list. A school opposite Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar’s residence has also received threats. After a while, seven other schools also received such mails, which created a local uproar.

Bomb disposal squads are conducting a thorough search of the premises despite indications that the bomb threats are hoaxes. They have not yet confirmed the presence of bombs in any school.
