AP Pensions: The NDA leaders asked CS Jawahar Reddy to take steps to provide all old age pensions (AP Pensions) at home on May 1. A group of NDA Leaders met CS Jawahar Reddy at the State Secretariat and presented a petition. Later, they suddenly protested in the secretariat. He alleged that CM Jagan, CS Jawahar Reddy and Cerf CEO Muralidhar Reddy will be held responsible if anything happens to the elderly if the distribution of pensions is delayed due to malicious intent.

Pension at home on May 1

In April, TDP senior leader Devineni Umamaheswara Rao accused the treasury of paying Rs 13 thousand crore bills related to YCP ministers, MLAs and leaders. Till 3rd April, 33 beneficiaries have died due to non-payment of pensioners (AP Pensions) at the secretariats. CS Jawahar Reddy expressed anger that YCP party is blowing its horn to benefit the party with malicious intent. TDP leader Chandrababu wrote a letter to the Chief Election Commission on 24th. He said that the instructions came to the Chief Secretary on the night of 26th. They are demanding to give pension at home on May 1 without deliberately delaying.

EC Directives on Distribution of Pensions

Distribution of pensions in AP will become a big issue. As the Election Commission imposed restrictions on volunteers… last month, a hydra was going on in the distribution of pensions. Recently, the EC has issued directions to the AP government in this matter. EC has issued key directions to CS Jawahar Reddy on the distribution of pensions from house to house. The EC directed the CS to pay the pensioners directly in the form of DBT if the distribution of pensions is not possible. However, the CS told the EC that there are not enough staff to distribute the pensions from house to house and that they will do what was done in April. With this, EC ordered to distribute under DBT system. The EC recalled the guidelines issued on March 30 regarding cash transfer schemes including pensions.
