Rishabh Shetty starrer Kantara has recently hit OTT. But.. many audience who saw that movie expressed disappointment. The reason for that is the removal of Varaha form song which is life of the movie. Another tune was added in place of that song. But the audience didn’t like it. There was a huge demand for that Varaha form song on the Twitter platform. They said that if there is no song, even if you watch the movie, you will not get that feeling.

The reason for the removal of the Varaha form song from the movie was a petition filed in court by the Malayalam music band Thaikkudam Bridge. They alleged that the song was copied from their song. As there was a case in the court, the song had to be removed from the movie which was released in OTT. However, the Kerala court heard the case last Friday and dismissed the Theyukudum bridge petition. With that.. again the way to add Varaha form song is paved.

Varaha Rumap song has already been added in Tamil and Malayalam version in OTT. But.. Telugu and Kannada have not been done yet. In fact, Kantara movie was popular only in these two states. While the collections in Kannada reached Rs.168 crores, Kantara collected Rs.60 crores in Telugu states. On the other hand, it is noteworthy that only Rs. 12.70 crores are coming in Tamil Nadu. Similarly in Kerala only Rs. 19.20 crores were received. Judging by these figures, it seems that less audience watched the movie in those two states. In this background, according to a plan, it is clear that the OTT company has done Amazon Prime ad for the first Varaha form song in those two languages.

Rishabh Shetty, who acted as the hero in Kantara, also directed the film. While Saptami Gowda acted as Rishabh Shetty’s pair, Kishore appeared as a forest officer. Similarly, Achyut Kumar played a negative role. Made with a budget of just Rs.15 crores, this movie surprised everyone by grossing more than Rs.400 crores worldwide. In Karnataka alone, this movie was watched by one crore people in theaters. Kantaraane is the movie that has been released in theaters for 50 days in all languages!
