Chhattisgarh News: In Pakhanjoor of Kanker district, water was drawn continuously for 3 days from the waste ware of a reservoir. The 30 HP pump kept running day and night for 3 days and water kept flowing from the pond. When you will come to know the truth of this ‘Pani Bhao Abhiyan’, you will also be shocked. Actually, the mobile phone of a food officer who came here for a holiday had fallen into the water. The mobile was around Rs 96,000. After shedding lakhs of liters of water, the officer’s mobile was found. But during this time so much water flowed that one and a half thousand acres of land could have been irrigated. The officer argues that for this he had taken verbal permission from the SDO of the Irrigation Department. However, the food inspector has been suspended with immediate effect as soon as the news hit the headlines.

After all, what happened that in the midst of the scorching heat, precious water was wasted? Aajtak asked some similar questions to Food Inspector Rajesh Vishwas:-

Question: What was the reason for wasting 21 lakh liters of water for 1.5 lakh iPhone in summer?

answer: I did not have an iPhone, but a SAMSUNG S23, which costs Rs 95,000. Everyone has a personal mobile. If the mobile is lost then everyone first tries to find it. My mobile also fell into the storage waste water of the tank and reached 10 feet below the water. Seeing this, the people of the village who knew me said that we will remove it. He tried hard to get the mobile out of the water by diving on Sunday and Monday. But they could not see anything because of the pieces of glass below and the dirt. That’s why divers advised to empty the reservoir by 2-3 feet. Because of this, I spoke to the SDO of the Irrigation Department and told him that this is unusable water. Can I channel its 2-3 feet of water? The SDO gave oral permission on this. Since there is no electricity facility near the reservoir, I used my diesel pump to pump 2-3 feet of water from the reservoir into the canal.

Question: How can one give oral permission?

answer: If the water inside the reservoir has to be extracted, then its written permission has to be taken. Since it was water from the storage of the reservoir. Where people go to bathe. It was not possible to throw this water or give it to a farmer, so oral permission was given to take out little by little water from the storage tank.

Question: Dropping the phone in water was bound to damage it, why did you do it?

answer: I tried hard. Most of my acquaintances in the village were engaged in the search of mobiles. He said that he has been searching for the mobile for two days, now if 2-3 feet of water recedes, then it will be easy to find the mobile. That’s why I got diesel pump installed. Since there was cement plaster under the tank of the reservoir and the clay was frozen. There were pieces of glass etc. lying in it. For this reason the mobile could not be removed. But the probability of getting mobile was also 99 percent, so I tried to find mobile.

Question: How will you save yourself if action is taken?

answer: I have not done any such big mistake to come in the news. It is being said that I spent Rs 1 lakh to get the mobile, whereas the mobile itself does not cost that much. In this entire search only 7000 to 8000 rupees were spent. While I asked for pipes from the local people and got the water poured into the canal, instead of letting the water flow out. I have not misused any position.

Question: How did a food inspector get a mobile worth 95 thousand rupees?

answer: I am not from a poor family. Everyone in my house is employed. Food Inspector is made of my hobby. I don’t have any problem with money.
