OnePlus has announced that 2 smartphones available for purchase in India will receive its latest software update.

It has been announced that thousands of Oneplus stores will be closed from May 1. This shocked the users.

Due to the unresolved issues of the Oneplus smartphone brand, several mobile retail chains have announced that they will stop selling Oneplus devices from May 1.

In this situation, another announcement has been made that the security updates of both the Oneplus 8 and Oneplus 8 Pro models will be stopped.

When these two smartphones were launched in 2020, it was promised to get 4 years of Security Updates and 3 major Android OS Updates.

Accordingly, the last Update April 2024 Android Security patch has started rolling out now. These updates are expected to reach all parts of India in the next few days.

You can also manually check whether you have received the latest update via Settings > About device > OxygenOS > Check for Updates.

In a statement, OnePlus said, “We have officially fulfilled our Lifecycle Maintenance promise for Oneplus 8 and Oneplus 8 Pro with the release of OxygenOS 13.1.0.587. Thanks to all of your support over the last 4 years, we have come a long way hand in hand.”
