Puducherry- The CBCID police are investigating the persons involved in the fraud of 1.96 lakh rupees through credit card transactions in Puducherry. Kapilan, 38, belongs to Puducherry Ulavarkarai, Friends Nagar. He had a credit card of a private bank for personal use since 2019. In this situation, he received a call on his mobile number on June 23 at 4.15 pm from an unknown person. The contact person introduced himself as a bank customer care executive. He asked him to increase the credit card limit and send him an OTP number and report it immediately. Suspicious, Kaplan refused to give the OTP. After the man finished speaking, Kaplan sent two ODTs to the number. .P., came and he did not post anything. In this context, in the name of two companies in Bengaluru, a total of 98 thousand rupees, 98 thousand rupees, 1.96 lakh rupees were transacted from Kaplan’s credit card. He lodged a complaint with the police the day before yesterday. Based on that, the police registered a case and are investigating.
