Nimisha is not beautiful, how did she get to the cinema?; Karthik Subbaraj hits back at YouTuber

Jigarthanda Double X is Karthik Subbaraj’s film which continues to be a huge success in theatres. SJ Surya and Raghava Lawrence are the best actors in the film. Malayalee actress Nimisha Sajayan’s performance as the heroine also attracted attention.

Director Karthik Subbaraj has reacted strongly against the YouTuber who talked down the heroine Nimisha at the success meet held to celebrate the success of the film.

‘Nimisha Sajayan, although not very beautiful, gave a good performance. Why was Nimisha chosen for that role?’ That was the YouTuber’s question. “How can you say that Minisa is not beautiful? I don’t understand your mentality. But you can’t say someone isn’t beautiful. Your understanding is very wrong,” was Karthik’s reply.

SJ Surya and Raghava Lawrence, who were present on the stage, supported Karthik’s reply with applause. Santosh Narayanan, who attended the event, later shared a post on X about the incident. Santosh Narayanan said that YouTuber’s was an attempt to create controversy by making bad remarks. After the video of the incident went viral on social media, many people are reacting against YouTuber. Karthik’s prompt and accurate reply has been praised by many. Nimisha did not participate in the success meet.

Nimisha’s performance in the recently released Siddharth film ‘Chitta’ was well received by fans. Nimisha made her debut in Malayalam cinema with a small role in the 2017 film C/O Saira Banu. Then Nimisha performed well in many films like Thondimuthalum Driksakshi, The Great Indian Kitchen, Naayat, A Southern Thallu Case and many more.

Nimisha plays a strong female character Malayarasi in Jigarthanda Double X. Malayarasi is the wife of Allian Caesar (Raghava Lawrence).
