Diljeet Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra’s film ‘Chamkila’ was recently streamed on the OTT platform Netflix. It has been dominating OTT since its release. In this, the acting of both the stars was greatly appreciated by the people. Diljit has brought alive the character of Amar Singh Chamkila. Not only the critics but the audience is also liking and praising it. Meanwhile, Chamkila’s first wife Gurmail Kaur told about her first meeting with Diljit. She revealed that she had not met the actor on the sets of the film but she knew him before that.

Actually, Amar Singh Chamkila’s wife recently while talking to Love Punjab’s YouTube channel talked about her meeting with Diljit and his work. Regarding Diljit playing the character of Chamkila, Gurmail Kaur said that she was very happy when she came to know that Diljit was playing the role of Chamkila. Gurmail got goosebumps after seeing her playing the character of Chamkila. Gurmail tells that the actor was wearing exactly the same clothes as Chamkila. It was the same haircut. When she met him on the set, she hugged the actor. During this, she told that she had met Diljit before.

Where did you first meet?

Gurmail Kaur told in this conversation that he had not met Diljit when he started working in the film. She had met him before also. Diljeet and Gurmail first met in a village bank. She used to go there for money and he was also there. Whenever the actor saw Chamkila’s wife, he would run to her and touch her feet. At the same time, when she met him on the set, she asked Diljit if he remembered him, then the actor said that yes he remembered him.

The mystery of the murder has not been solved till date

Along with this, Gurmail said that there was never any bitterness between him and Amarjot. She used to come to meet him with Chamkila. Both of them also used to cook food together. Let us tell you that Chamkila had a second marriage with Amarjot. Used to sing bright songs with them. After this, both of them were shot dead in 1988. Till date the mystery of their murder has not been solved.
