Chakulia: In Chakulia and surrounding areas, the four-day long festival of faith, Chhath Puja, concluded on Monday morning after offering Arghya to the rising Bhaskar. To perform Chhath Vrati puja, they reached Kupan river ghat located in Barshol village of Jugitupa Panchayat of Chakulia, riding on various vehicles and worshiped the setting sun and the rising sun with reverence and devotion and offered Arghya. Thousands of devotees also worshiped on the spot. After the puja, the devotees distributed Prasad among the people. On the occasion of Chhath Puja, proper arrangements were made by the puja committee for the devotees at Chhath Ghat.(Also read below)

MLA Sameer Mahanti reached Chhath Ghat with his wife, offered prayers

On Monday morning, the second day of Chhath Puja, MLA Sameer Mahanty along with his wife Naina Mahanty along with the workers reached Chhath Ghat and offered prayers with devotion and offered prayers to Bhashkar. Former state president of BJP Dr. Goswami also participated
Former state president of BJP Dr. Dineshanand Goswami along with his workers reached Chhath Ghat on Sunday morning and offered Arghya to the setting sun. Dr. Goswami roamed around Chhath Ghat and wished people a happy Chhath Puja. JMM leader Aditya Pradhan and deputy block chief Kavita Sao also reached Chhath Ghat and offered prayers with devotion.(Also read below)

The committee made arrangements for tea and milk for Chhath fasts.
At Chhath Ghat, milk was arranged for the fasting people to offer Arghya to the Sun on Monday morning. Tea and biscuits were distributed among the fasting people and villagers. On the occasion, committee members Dinesh Singh, Ratnesh Singh, Parmanand Singh, Rajkumar Singh, Raj Singh, Suresh Singh, Pintu Singh and others played an important role.
