New Delhi: Heart attack has become very common nowadays. Be it old or young, anyone is getting heart attack while walking. Even Bollywood stars and common people who take great care of fitness are easily falling prey to it. Many researches and studies have also come out regarding the sudden increase in the trend of heart disease since Corona.
New Delhi: After Corona virus, cases of deaths due to heart attack have increased rapidly in the last 3 years. Earlier we used to see the possibility of attack in people aged 50 to 55 years. Earlier these reasons were considered to be lack of exercise, high blood pressure, increased cholesterol and diabetes.
New Delhi: But nowadays we are seeing that youth of 20 to 25 years of age neither have blood pressure nor diabetes, yet diseases like heart attack are being seen. In such a situation, the question is whether the rapidly increasing heart attack cases in India have any connection with Corona. Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has answered this.
New Delhi: In Bhavnagar, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, “The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has recently conducted a study. It has been found that people who had severe Covid should avoid strenuous exercise for some time. Mandaviya said, “People who were seriously infected with Covid-19 should exercise caution to avoid heart attack. Such people should avoid running around too much for one or two years.
ICMR replied
New Delhi: Actually, ICMR has recently done a study. In this, the answer to the question arising regarding the relationship between the vaccine and sudden deaths has been found. Citing its study, ICMR has said that the risk of sudden death among youth has not increased due to the Covid-19 vaccine in India.
ICMR has said that hospitalization before Covid-19, previous cases of sudden deaths in the family and changes in lifestyle have increased the chances of sudden death.
Apart from this, ICMR has said in the study that history of hospitalization due to Covid, record of sudden death in the family, drinking alcohol, taking drugs 48 hours before death or doing vigorous exercise 48 hours before death. There are some facts which increase the risk of sudden death. ICMR conducted the study from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2023.
A total of 47 hospitals in the country were included in this study. Also, people aged 18 to 45 years, who were apparently healthy, participated in this study. Not a single person among them was suffering from a chronic disease. Information has been found in the study that people who had taken two doses of the vaccine. The risk of sudden death was very low.
Were there cases of heart attack among youth earlier also?
New Delhi: Dr OP Yadav, director of the National Heart Institute, says, “If we look at the last two or three decades, about 10 percent of heart attacks occurred in people who were below 40 years of age. Not only this, bypass surgery was also being done on ten percent people below 40 years of age. Dr OP Yadav says that cases of heart attack were being reported among the youth earlier also, but after the news of death of some celebrities due to heart attack came out, it started being discussed that the cases of heart attack are increasing among the youth.
Dr OP Yadav raises the question, did we see that the person who had a heart attack had any co-morbidity like diabetes, hypertension, obesity etc. What was his lipid profile? They say that whenever such a death occurs, this should also be assessed because it has been seen that in heart attack cases, even autopsy is not done.
What do doctors recommend?
New Delhi: If you are walking 200 meters on the first day, then after a few days walk 400 meters and gradually increase your speed. Do not do rigorous and rigorous exercise at all. If you feel that earlier any work or exercise did not make you feel short of breath but now you are noticing a change in it, then inform your doctor, such as darkness before the eyes, dizziness, difficulty in breathing, chest pain. Problems like pain.
If the heartbeat increases, which does not happen normally, if all these symptoms appear after recovering from Corona, then definitely consult a doctor. Doctors say that any patient who has recovered from Corona and of any age, should definitely do exercise but increase its level gradually.
