Jamshedpur: Rights are not obtained by asking for them, they have to be snatched away. We are not begging, we want our rights. For this we will have to struggle vigorously. Jusco Labor Union President Raghunath Pandey said this while addressing a meeting organized under the aegis of EPS 95 National Agitation Committee at the Jusco Labor Union office in Bishtupur, Jamshedpur. Told that a memorandum will be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur) on 7th December regarding the pension of EPS 95. He said that even today there is a provision to give a minimum pension amount of Rs 1,000 to people, but even that is not available. This has become a serious problem for the workers for which we will have to fight strongly. Addressing on this occasion, Sachchidanand Mishra said that the high level leaders of the committee are very seriously engaged in this fight, but the common laborers at the lower level are sitting quietly. He said that the main demands of EPS 95 will be held at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on 7th December, which include minimum pension of Rs 7500 and dearness allowance, free medical facilities to all pensioners’ husband and wife and retired employees deprived of EPS 95 should be given pension of Rs 5000 per month. He again said that we will have to struggle vigorously only then we can achieve our goal. He urged that more and more people from Bihar and Jharkhand should attend this program. Chhattisgarh’s labor leader Ijazur Rahman also addressed this program. On this occasion, a large number of people including JUSCO Labor Union Vice President Amarnath Mishra, Treasurer Gopal Jaiswal, E Satish Kumar, Kamal Kishore Agarwal, Gopal Yadav, Parshuram Mishra, Triveni Prasad, Arun Kumar Singh were present.
