Director Ayan Mukerji’s dream project ‘Brahmastra’ is finally ready to hit the theaters on September 9 after several delays. Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy are also seen in important roles in Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’.

The talk of Shahrukh Khan having a cameo in the film is also confirmed and reports are telling that some more Bollywood stars including Deepika Padukone are also going to be seen in the film in a special appearance. Advance booking of ‘Brahmastra’ started from Friday and the speed with which the tickets for the film are being booked till Sunday morning will give a lot of relief to the makers.

Why is there excitement?
There was excitement among fans about ‘Brahmastra’, which was first announced in 2014, when Ayan had said that it is a fantasy-adventure film based on mythology. Like the Marvel movies that have a huge fan following around the world, Ayan is going to create a new universe centered around the powers of the weapons of the gods.

The trailer of ‘Brahmastra’ featured great special effects along with a story made with a strong cast. Such stories with superhuman powers have a huge audience in India. The proof of this is that films like Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ had set opening collection records in India. Indian fans, who have been watching the stories of such a universe with unique powers in Hollywood films, have been very excited about ‘Brahmastra’ from the beginning.

However, last month, there was a lot of controversy on social media about the film and a campaign to boycott ‘Brahmastra’ started on Twitter. But now it seems that the appeal of the film is going to prove the appeal of this ‘Boycott’ small.

Advance booking statistics
Advance booking for ‘Brahmastra’ started on September 2 in IMAX 3D format. On Saturday evening, the normal 3D shows of the film also opened for booking and from Sunday morning, 2D shows of the film were also booked in very few places. Till the time of writing this report, more than 65,000 tickets of ‘Brahmastra’ have been sold. In the reports, the gross collection of the film from advance booking is said to be Rs 2.55 crore. If block seats are also included in this, then ‘Brahmastra’ has so far earned more than 4 crores from advance booking.

fast filling shows
First of all, the shows of ‘Brahmastra’ in IMAX 3D format, available for advance booking, are filling up very fast. Some shows in Malad and Ghatkopar areas of Mumbai are very close to being ‘sold out’, that is, all tickets for these shows are going to be sold out. The same condition of IMAX 3D shows of ‘Brahmastra’ is also visible in a famous cinema theater in South Delhi and a cinema hall in Noida. Only a few seats are left in some 3D shows of ‘Brahmastra’ in Central Delhi and West Delhi.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’s record set to be broken
For Bollywood, this year ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ collected the highest gross collection from advance booking. Karthik Aryan’s film, including block seats, collected 6.55 crores from advance booking. If you see the trend of advance booking of ‘Brahmastra’, then this film produced by Karan Johar can cross the figure of ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ on Monday itself.

‘Brahmastra’ ready for biggest opening of the year
By Monday, the booking of the film would have been completely opened in most theatres. If we look at the trend of advance, then new shows in theaters will also be increased soon as the shows increase rapidly. According to the reports, ‘Brahmastra’, which is going to be released on close to 5000 screens in India, is also the biggest release in Bollywood so far.

In such a situation, the record of ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ for the biggest opening in 2022 can be broken very comfortably. Karthik Aryan’s film had a collection of Rs 14.11 crore on the first day and the way ‘Brahmastra’ tickets are being sold, it does not seem like a big deal to get an opening around 20 crores. Now the eye will be on how big opening collection ‘Brahmastra’ does on the first day.
