Stumbled in the first step! – Andhrajyothy

OIf the movie is a flop, there will be no big loss for the senior hero and heroine. But if the first film does not play, the situation is a bit difficult for the new hero and heroine. New opportunities don’t come quickly if you feel like a failure. Sentiments are high for the Telugu film industry in that too. Did the first movie play or not, who is the reason? They give opportunities to examine things like .. Stars who believe in talent are okay but heroines who rely only on glamor will have to work hard until they get a break. Failure greeted many bilingual heroines who made their debut in Telugu this year. Many have stumbled in their first steps as Tollywood heroines.

A missed opportunity

AThe movie ‘Liger’ came to the audience amid many expectations. This movie made on a huge budget made Vijay Devarakonda lose his pan India hero hopes. Director Puri Jagannath added strength to the criticism that the success of ‘Smart Shankar’ was a fluke. Moreover, Ananyapande, who thought that her writing would change as the heroine of ‘Liger’, has dashed her hopes. Do you think that ‘Liger’ is a good opportunity to grow as a pan-India heroine when the trend of Telugu films continues all over the country? But the film flopped at the box office. Pan India alone gave Ananya a boost to her career. The only relief she got in Tollywood was with ‘Liger’ to look like a ‘unique beauty’.

Another Bollywood actress Sai Manjrekar made her debut this year as a heroine. The first Telugu film ‘Gani’ left a bitter experience for her. Starring Varun Tej, this film is produced by Allu Aravind’s son Bobby. Aeri Cori cast Sai Manjrekar as the female lead. Sai felt that ‘Gani’ will boost his career as South movies are plowing at the box office. If this movie is a hit, she will get more opportunities. But with the flop, the situation changed and it has to be said that Sai’s career as a heroine was severely damaged. Otherwise, New Manjrekar is somewhat better as Adivishesh’s ‘Major’ film got good talk in Hindi and Telugu.

That magic is missing

It is not easy to please the Telugu audience as a heroine. But Nazriya Nazim managed to earn a special place as a heroine in the hearts of the Telugu audience without doing a single straight film. The reason for that is the movie ‘Rajarani’. Nazria’s grit in the role of Kirtan in it, and the tragic turn the role finally took made her memorable to the audience for years. Ever since the release of ‘Raja Rani’, the audience has been waiting for her Telugu film. Being busy with Malayalam films and getting married to hero Fahad Fazil, Nazriya did not do a straight film in Telugu. Finally, this year, she appeared before the Telugu audience as a heroine for the first time with ‘Ante Sundarani’ opposite Nani. But the result of this movie made a difference. The audience breathed a sigh of relief after seeing Nazriya in this movie. It has been almost ten years since the movie ‘Raja Rani’ was made. Hers is a performance that can’t be bent, but the art in the face is reduced. The previous charming is gone. It is not possible to say that she will actually star again in another Telugu film.

Hit but…

As ‘Bheemlanayak’, Pawan Kalyan continued to hunt at the box office and surpassed the collection of 100 crores. Malayalam heroine Samyukta Menon made her Telugu debut with this film. Even though the movie was a hit, she did not get the recognition and opportunities of the heroine level. The reason is to play a less important role as a partner to Rana. The recent release of Kalyan Ram’s ‘Bimbisara’ has filled that gap to some extent. Currently, Samyukta is acting in a bilingual film ‘Saar’ opposite Vijay.

Aishwarya did not like it

Another Malayalam heroine who tried her luck in Telugu as a heroine this year is Aishwarya Lakshmi. Ammadu, who has been doing well with a series of films in Tamil and Malayalam languages, has not shown his strength in Telugu as well. But the first attempt did not go well for her. She played a pivotal role in Satyadev starrer ‘Godse’. As the audience rejected the film, Aishwarya Lakshmi did not care much about it. Moreover, as it was not a role with heroine features, it could not reach at least one section of the audience. Now Aishwarya is making another attempt in Telugu with the film ‘Ammu’.

Started with a flop

Some other multilingual stars have come before the audience this year with the hope of showing their strength in Telugu films. Rajisha Vijayan could not get the expected hit even though she got a chance opposite a top hero like Ravi Teja in the first film. Rajisha, who gained recognition as a heroine in Malayalam and Tamil films, did not get a name due to her poor performance in the film ‘Rama Rao On Duty’. Rithikanayake made her debut as a heroine with Vishvaksen’s ‘Ashokavanamo Arjuna Kalyanam’. Despite getting good marks in terms of acting, the commercial failure of the film was a minus for Ritika. The first and second films could not give success to Nuveksha as a heroine. Kiran Abbavaram’s ‘Sebastian PC 524’ and Adi Saikumar’s ‘Atithi Devobhava’ failed to impress the audience at all.
