The famous director of Tamil cinema died suddenly.. fans are shocked!

Durai, the director of the national award-winning film ‘Baasi’, passed away today.

The movie ‘Pasi’ was released on 21st December 1979 directed by Durai. The film focuses on the life of marginalized people living on the banks of Koovam river in Chennai.

The realistic film has collected various awards like best director, film and actress along with three national awards like state government awards and Filmfare awards. Jayabharathi and Kamal Haasan also acted in this movie.
