Chennai: Tamil actor and director E Ramadoss passed away. His son Kalai Selvan informed on Facebook that he died due to a heart attack. He died in a private hospital in Chennai. He was 66 years old.
The body was kept for public viewing since morning at his residence on KK Road, Chennai. Celebrities from the film industry visited the residence and paid their respects. The funeral took place after 5 pm. He was born in Vizhupuram and came to Chennai at a young age with a desire for cinema. He was noticed as a writer in the beginning and later he stepped into directing.
E Ramadoss has directed notable films like “Raja Raja Than” and “Swayamvaram”. He has also acted in Duddam Sei, Kaki Sattai, Dharma Durai, Vikram Veda, Maari2, etc. His role in the film Visarane was remarkable.
Film director K Bharathiraja condoled the demise of Ramadoss. E Ramadoss was last seen in Varalaru Mukiyam starring Jeeva in the lead role.
