Aditya Karikalan romance was the most attractive element in Ponniyin Selvan. In the first part, Mani Ratnam focused on introducing the plot and characters, while the second part focused on the love between Aditya Karikalan and Nandini.
The two come together only at the beginning and end of the film. Although both of them were on screen together for a very short time, the intensity of the scenes and the chemistry between Vikram and Aishwarya touched the hearts of the audience. And when Rahman’s music and Ravi Varman’s camera work together, these scenes reach their perfection. Those beautiful moments are reaching the audience again.

Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Rahman, Prabhu, Jayaram, Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Babu Antony, Riyaz Khan, Lal, Ashwin Kakumanu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Jayachitra, Balaji Sakthivel, Arjun Chidambaram , Sara Arjun, Kishore and many prominent stars of Indian cinema were lined up in Mani Ratnam’s film.
Produced jointly by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, the film was released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages. The screenplay of the film is written by B Jayamohan and Ilango Kumaravel.
