Haryana News: An important railway project is being organized in Haryana, in which hundreds of hectares of land of 67 villages of all the districts including Sonipat will be acquired. The project will cost Rs 5,617 crore to complete and is planned to be completed in five years.

Plan to directly connect Delhi to Chandigarh

There is a plan to directly connect Gurgaon from Delhi to Chandigarh through this project, which will improve traffic. The project will also have a freight train designed to carry 6 million tonnes of freight annually, directly connecting Gurgaon to Delhi.

The Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor will also be connected to major railway lines, making the industrial areas here more prominent. The project will connect Asavati village on the Delhi-Mathura route, Patli village on the Delhi-Rewari route, Asoda on the Delhi-Rohtak railway line and Harsana stations of Sonipat on the Delhi-Ambala railway line.
