Pune | 18 September 2023 : Ganaraya will arrive on Tuesday. Preparations are being made everywhere for the installation of Shri. Preparations for the arrival of Ganaraya are underway as rains continue in many parts of the state. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be rain showers during the arrival of Ganaraya on Tuesday. Pune city, Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Konkan will experience rain on Tuesday. Rain is likely for two days in Vidarbha, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra in the state.
How will it rain for the next five days?
Rain will continue in the state for the next five days. The Pune Meteorological Department has predicted moderate rainfall in almost all parts of the state. But there is no forecast of heavy rain in these days. A low pressure area had formed in the Bay of Bengal. Its intensity has now decreased. A low pressure area is now active over Southeast Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, there is no possibility of heavy rain in the state.
Rain in many places in the state on Sunday
It rained in many places in the state on Sunday. An alert was issued for Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Pune, Nandurbar, Nashik and Dhule districts. Orange alert for rain has been given in Nashik, Nandurbar on Monday. Yellow alert has been issued for Dhule, Raigad, Palghar, Pune districts. Heavy rain is predicted at Ghatmathya in Pune district. This will increase the water storage in the dams of Pune district.
Release of water from the dam
It is raining in the district including Nashik city. The catchment area of Gangapur Dam is also receiving continuous rain. Due to this, 537 cusecs of water has been released from Gangapur Dam. Tapi river in Jalgaon district has flooded due to rains in Madhya Pradesh. Water flowing over a bridge over Wainganga river in Gadchiroli district. Ashti Chandrapur Marg has been closed due to this. Also there has been heavy rain in Chamorshi. Due to this, water is being discharged from Gosekhurd Dam. Due to the increase in the water level of the Wainganga river, four roads in Gadchiroli district have been closed.
