Speaking on this occasion, Purushottam Jagtap, President of Someshwar Cooperative Sugar Factory, while he was running Someshwar Cooperative Sugar Factory, under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Someshwar Pattern has become famous in the state of Maharashtra. Also, the economic revolution that took place in the lives of all of us due to Someshwar Factory. It would not be wrong to say that Someshwar Sahakari Sugar Factory is the backbone of that economic revolution.
Someshwar Cooperative Sugar Factory has been established for 58-59 years. With the cooperation of all of you and the blessings of all of you, the success of Someshwar Factory is truly appreciable and even though the board of directors is being felicitated today, it is truly possible because of you all the farmer members. And we all believe that the credit goes to all of you.
Today we see that there will be a cooperative sugar factory or a private factory. Today, a different type of competition has started in these sugar industries and during this competition, Someshwar Cooperative Sugar Factory, which has a working area of four talukas, day by day, the area of sugarcane in this area increased, so we expanded the factory and last year it expanded to seven and a half. We built a factory with a capacity of 1,000 per day at that place, and now, with the cooperation of all of us, we have set up a factory in that place with a capacity of 9,500 per day. While doing this, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is constantly guiding the Board of Directors.
We do all these things in that place with the intention of how we can give maximum reward to the sugarcane farmer who is the farmer for his hard work. Unfortunately, there has been no rain this year, there has been very little rain in our area and also in Pune district. And because of that, there is a big problem facing the farmers that how to grow sugarcane. In this way, the crisis of humanity is standing before the farmers.
About two to two and a half lakh tonnes of sugarcane will have to be procured for the Someshwar Cooperative Sugar Factory. Also, I assure you on behalf of the Board of Directors that Someshwar Factory will not be left behind in the state of Maharashtra even in the coming season.
Also, the development work that has been done in Waghalwadi in the last five to ten years is definitely appreciable. Purushottam Jagtap, Chairman of Someshwar Cooperative Sugar Factory, thanked the Board of Directors for the high rate given by the Someshwar Sugar Factory. The program was moderated by Satish Sakunde. Vote of thanks was given by Vijay Sawant.
