A meeting of the Executive Committee of Chandigarh Trade Board was organized. National President of Indian Industry Trade Board, New Delhi, Babulal Gupta was present as the chief guest. The businessmen welcomed him. In the meeting, issues of Chandigarh related to the Central Government were placed before him.
President of Chandigarh Trade Board, Charanjeev Singh said that the Central Government should soon resolve the national issues of the businessmen of Chandigarh. Recently the MSME Act has also been implemented for traders. Traders can take advantage of the benefits available under this by getting themselves registered.
On the request of the Indian Industry Trade Board, the National Traders Welfare Board was formed by the government, which will facilitate the traders in placing their issues before the Central Government and getting them resolved. During this time, the issue was also raised that some businessmen from other big cities of the country have disappeared without taking GST numbers.
The businessmen of Chandigarh who had purchased from them are receiving notices to return the input credit along with interest. This notice should be withdrawn. Action should be taken against the businessmen who committed this fraud and made fake bills. The Central Government has given exemption of Rs 7 lakh in Income Tax 2023-24, this benefit is available only to those businessmen whose income is Rs 7 lakh.
All businessmen should get the benefit of this exemption. The maximum rate of income tax is 30 percent, it should be reduced to 25 percent on the lines of corporate. Under the Food Act, food traders have to take a license every year, one time registration should be done. On this occasion, General Secretary Sanjeev Chadha, Vice President Subhash Narang, Kanwaljit Singh Panchhi, Baljinder Singh, Ravinder Singh Billa and other officials were present.
