Sukma (JNN). Half a dozen Naxalites, including a reward of Rs 1 lakh, involved in various Naxalite activities under Chitagufa police station area, have surrendered.

According to the police, Sukka (militia commander, Elmagunda RPC has a reward of one lakh. Manga Sanna, Lakhma is a militia member. Similarly, Nanda (DAKMS member, Elmagunda, Kosa DAKMS member) has arrested Mauli Mohan Kumar, 2nd Commanding Officer 131 Corps at Naxal Operation Office, Sukma. CRPF and Uttam Pratap Singh have surrendered without weapons before Deputy Superintendent of Police Sukma. Naxalites Assistance and other facilities will be given under the rehabilitation scheme of the government.

Naxalites attacked in April

On April 23, 2023, in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh Naxalites They planted an IED and carried out the blast, in which 10 District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel were martyred and one driver was martyred.

All were returning to Dantewada district headquarters in a pickup vehicle after a three-day search operation. The explosion, which took place about 60 kilometers away from the district headquarters, was so severe that a crater about seven feet deep was left on the road. The driver of the pickup vehicle also died on the spot due to the explosion that took place barely two kilometers away from Aranpur police station. Even before this, many major Naxalite attacks have taken place in Chhattisgarh.
