Weather Updates Today 4 October 2023

Even though rains have started returning from some states including the rest of the country, the intensity of rains is still continuing in Maharashtra. It is still raining in some districts of the state. Kharif crops have got life due to rain and Baliraja is happy. At the same time, there has been a slight increase in the water storage in the dams. The Meteorological Department had predicted that there will be heavy rain in the state in the next 48 hours. This prediction came true and on Tuesday (October 3) light showers fell in most of the districts of the state. Now the Meteorological Department has said that the intensity of rain will increase in the next 24 hours.

Chances of rain have been predicted in Mumbai, Pune, Thane today. At the same time, light rains will fall in Marathwada and Vidarbha also, the Meteorological Department has predicted. Rain alert has also been issued for some districts of Vidarbha. On the other hand, cloudy weather is expected in some parts of the state.

A low pressure area has formed in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Therefore, heavy rain is currently falling in most of the districts of the state. The coastal region including Konkan has been lashed by rain for the last two days. Some districts of Marathwada and Vidarbha have also been hit by rain.

Meanwhile, with the return of rain, the possibility of heavy to very heavy rain is predicted in various states of the country till October 5. Heavy rain warning has been issued in West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand till October 5. Apart from this, it has been said that the intensity of rain will continue in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland and Tripura in Northeast India.
