The ongoing counting of votes for the five-yearly election of Bhogavati Cooperative Sugar Factory in Kolhapur district has been stopped for some time due to controversy. Currently, there is a lot of confusion at the counting center in the multi-purpose hall in Ramanmala. (Maharashtra News)

86.33 percent voter turnout was recorded on Sunday for the five-year elections of Bhogavati Cooperative Sugar Factory in Kolhapur district. The counting of votes started today (Monday) in the multi-purpose hall in Ramanamala. After some time, the counting of votes was stopped.

According to the information received from the spot, when the counting of votes was going on, the voter representatives objected to the counting system itself. It was alleged that the revenue system is in favor of the ruling party and is tampering with the ballot paper.
