food delivered through bottles
On Monday night, 24 bottles full of khichdi and dal were sent to the 41 laborers trapped in the tunnel. For the first time after 9 days, the workers got a full meal. Apart from this, orange, apple and lemon juice were also sent. Today porridge and other food items will be sent to the workers. Till now only multi vitamins, puffed rice and dry fruits were being sent through pipes. This food was delivered to the workers through a 6 inch wide pipe.
vertical drill machine arrived
5 plans have been made to evacuate the workers from the tunnel. At present the agencies are working on two plans. The first American auger machine is trying to insert 800-900 mm steel pipe into the tunnel debris. So that the workers can be taken out with the help of this pipe. 24 meters of excavation was also done with the auger machine. However, the machine malfunctioned. After this the work stopped. There is a possibility of starting drilling with auger machine again today.
On the other hand, there is also a plan for vertical drill. For this the machine has reached above the tunnel. This machine will start digging from today afternoon. It will dig from the top of the tunnel, so that the workers can be taken out directly from the top.
