There was a black flag protest against the chief minister and ministers who came to the New Kerala audience in Kalyassery constituency yesterday. Pashayangadi KA towards the vehicle in which the Chief Minister and Ministers visited Youth Congress workers were showing black flag at SEB office premises. After this there was a conflict. Security officials and DYFI-CPM activists joined in to stop it, leading to a clash.

Seven Youth Congress-KSU workers were injured in the incident. Youth Congress District Vice President Sudhish Vellachal (30), who was hit on the head, was seriously injured and is in the intensive care unit of Thalassery Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital.
