Colonial imperialism in Israel would not have existed without the support of Western imperialism. The imperialists who persecuted the Jews for centuries continue to support Israel to atone for their long-standing sin. In that order, the Palestinian people are being sacrificed. The past violence against the Jews is being used as a pretext to support the colonial imperialist hegemony exercised by the right-wing forces in Israel. Under that guise, they are continuing their expansion, discriminatory policies and ethnic cleansing. Moreover, those who question the evils of Israel are branded as “anti-Jews”. Contrasted with the anti-Semitism displayed by the Nazis of the day.
This “colonial imperialism” is the most brutal and aggressive part of the current stage of imperialism. Moreover, it is supporting its wickedness with the pretext of violence and harassment in the past. Therefore this type of colonial imperialism should be sustained. This is imperative not only for the Palestinian people but also for the protection of the interests of the entire world. This is possible only with global public pressure.
ThThe Lasa system arose in two different ways in the 18th and 19th centuries. The first of these is the squeezing of surplus wealth through established centralized systems of governance. It is seen in this method that the colonial rulers establish their new colonial rule in the countries they have occupied by force…in place of the old rulers there. India is a perfect example of this method. The essence of this method is to create a market for European products by beating the local artisans and looting the goods needed for their countries from here. Because countries like ours are already heavily populated, these are tropical regions, and Europeans living in colder places have migrated here in very small numbers.
And the second method is to occupy other territories and drive away the local population and then people from wealthy European countries come and occupy it. A perfect example of this method is the United States. At the core of this system is immigration from rich countries, driving out the natives and taking over their wealth.
I call the first method “predatory imperialism” and the second method as “migratory imperialism”.
While in the first method they plundered the wealth from the conquered territory, in the second method they owned the land itself. The first method requires local people to work the land. If the imperialists loot the maximum part of the wealth on that land, then the local people will have no food. This is what happened in India during British rule. Due to successive droughts, the people suffered many hardships. However, some of the local people must have survived to produce the wealth they needed to loot, so the British government took some relief measures during those times of famine. If it is the second method, then there is no need to keep the local people alive. If the number of immigrants is sufficient there is no need to look for people to work. Therefore, the colonizing imperialists set out to completely exterminate the native races.
The imperialists who migrated and settled in new areas started to expand to bring additional territories under their control. Their expansion stopped only when there was no more territory left to occupy or when there was another strong kingdom in the neighborhood.
One would normally think that all this happened sometime in the past. And it can be thought that where is the colonial rule. But imperialism actually existed in the capitalist phase. So we should not come to that kind of mistaken opinion. A concrete example of colonial imperialism in modern times is Israel. For centuries the Jews were persecuted and persecuted as a minority. The persecution against them reached its climax during the Second World War. Jews from different parts of the world migrated to Palestine as Kandishiks and established the Jewish state in the name of Israel in 1948. However, the moderate governments that came to power in Israel using the support provided by American imperialism turned Israel, which started as a refuge for the oppressed, into a model of modern colonial imperialism. Similar to colonial imperialists, armed groups in Israel attempted to bring additional territories under their control. They are trying to occupy new areas like the West Bank and Gaza and are preparing to exterminate the ethnic groups there.
A distinctive feature of colonial rule was caste discrimination. Each city under their control has two parts. In one part resides the rulers and a small number of people who have migrated with them. The second part consists of common and local people. The same situation exists in the territories now occupied by Israel. Racial discrimination is rampant there.
The violence and persecution of the Jews in the past is now being used as an excuse by the imperialists and right-wing forces. The atrocities that Israel continues to inflict on the common people in Gaza are a sight to behold. The imperialist governments accused the demonstrations of being “anti-Semitic” as a pretext for banning the protest programs organized in various capitalist countries in solidarity with the Palestinian people against them. Demonstrations of Palestinian solidarity have not stopped with such bans. British Home Secretary Suella Braverman has been forced to resign after criticizing the police for showing bias towards Palestine in connection with a demonstration in London.
There is another reason why imperialists continue to support Israel. Countries like America, Canada and Australia came into existence only by implementing colonial imperialism. During that period, they ruthlessly tried to exterminate the native species there. Israel, their favorite character, is now doing the same. In that case, how can they not support it?
There is one more important reason. Israel has now become a pawn in West Asia. Communism was once a powerful force in the Arab region. To undermine it and maintain its hegemony, imperialism has strengthened Islamic fanatical forces (among them Hamas at one time). Providing armed support to Israel is also part of that strategy. While Israel continues to commit genocide in the Gaza Strip, it is not surprising that the United States voted against the resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire by Israel in the UN Security Council meetings. America asked Israel to take a break between its attacks by “acting from a humanitarian perspective”! Perhaps the humanitarian approach in America’s view is to stop firing occasionally to evacuate the bodies of the dead and the wounded.
It is unlikely that Israel will be willing to allow areas like Gaza to remain open prisons for long. Israel considers the existence of the Palestinian people a threat to its security. Therefore, if Israel’s aggression continues like this, it will not stop until it wipes out the entire Palestinian nation. Israeli construction companies want to replace their Palestinian workers with Indian workers. It means that as long as there are massive unemployment in the third world countries, it will not be a big problem for the imperialists to exterminate the Palestinian people or any other ethnic people.
Colombia, Bolivia, South Africa and other countries have already severed diplomatic relations with Israel. There is an outpouring of public opinion around the world in support of the Palestinian people. Demonstrations of Palestinian solidarity are taking place in many wealthy Western countries. These shows are attended by a large number of people which have never been seen in recent times. Local Jewish people are also supporting these demonstrations. Israel condemns the massacre. Not only the future of the Palestinian people but also the future of the entire world depends on this global resistance.
