Odisha: A three-day training camp was organized from 18th November to 20th November for the Youth Red Cross voluntary members of Puri District Branch under the aegis of Gadibrahma Degree College on behalf of the Indian Red Cross Society Odisha branch. In this function organized on the campus of Gadibrahma College, U.G.S College Sakshigopal, Kalyanpur College, Kanas Degree College, +3 Dayavihar, Godiput Matiapada College, Indipur +2 College, S. C.S. College Puri, Bhagwati College Konark, Kandagada College, Valiput College, S. S. College, Jagannath Veda Karmkand College, Chaudmauja College Mandarvast, Netranand Sahu Omens College Kakatpur and VJV College Gadrodhang, students from about 50 colleges participated in the training camp. Teachers and female teachers had also come. About 250 trainers, teachers and young Red Cross members participated in the training camp. Especially during the training, Sakshigopal U.G.S College teacher Swarnlata Mahari and Gadrodhang College teacher Harihar Padhi were especially attentive.

The training camp was inaugurated by Delang Pipili MLA Rudrapratap Maharathi on 18th November in the morning. Zilla Parishad member Prasanna Kumar Sahu had participated in this program. It is noteworthy that Prasanna Kumar Sahu and Delang Kothwad Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Deepak Kumar Sahu helped a lot in organizing the training camp.
During the training of the youth in the camp, competitions like dance, music, arrangement and logic etc. were held. On 20th November in the morning, Youth Red Cross Unit took out a rally from Delang Haat market to Gadibrahma Mahavidyalaya to make people aware about road safety. The camp program was inaugurated in the afternoon. Rita Mahanty, President of Shastri Smriti Degree College, was the chief guest in the meeting organized on this occasion. Other guests included Dayavihar College President Prashant Viswal and Gadibrahma College Operating Committee Chairman Ashok Kumar Mahanty.

Gadibrahma College President Dr. Saroj Kumar Panda presided over the meeting. At the beginning of the program, the chief guest lit the lamp in front of the Chaturddha idol of Shri Jagannath and the picture of Red Cross head Henry Dunant. The chief guest said in his address that the goal for which the Red Cross Society has gained its reputation is. The youth have an important role in making it successful. He urged the college students who participated in the camp to dedicate themselves in building a clean society as per the training they received. Other guests expressed their views regarding the training camp. On this occasion, Chairman Saroj Kumar Panda recalled the role of Claude Hill in separating the Indian Red Cross Society from the British Red Cross. Teacher Trinath Parida conducted the meeting program.

In organizing this three-day training camp, college teacher Yudhishthir Ghatuari, teacher Prashant Hota, teacher Lakshmidhar Paikarai, teacher Suwas Sethi, teacher Pramodini Mahapatra, teacher Kavita Mishra, teacher Bhavani Priyadarshini, teacher Deeptimayi Nayak along with Dasrathi Valvantrai, Samrat Kishore Giri, Prabhavati Swain, Jyoti Rai, Gopinath Samantrai and Rama Pradhan along with voluntary students of the college include Sonali Acharya, Shubhalakshmi Vahinipati, Kasturi Nayak, Sonali Mallik, Anupama Vehera, Stitipragya Mahapatra, Kaivalya Das, Hemant Vehera, Akash Pradhan, Mohan Pradhan, Amiya Pradhan and Ranjit Parida
Had special support. On this occasion, Radhamohan Das, an outgoing student of the college, performed the responsibility of cooking breakfast and bhandara for everyone for three days very well.
