More than 15 schools in Bengaluru received bomb threats via email on Friday. Panic spread among students, parents and school authorities after the bomb threat was received. In the first mail, seven schools including Nepal and Vidyashilpa located in Basaveshwar Nagar were targeted and sent threatening mails. At the same time, one such school also received a threatening mail which is located opposite the residence of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
The police may suspect that there is a rumor but despite that, the administration has become alert. Police are searching school premises with the help of bomb squads. He abhi tak kisi bhi school mein bam hone ki poshti nahin ki hai. Last year several schools in Bangalore received similar email threats, but they all turned out to be rumours.
A school issued an advisory to parents regarding the bomb threat. The advisory said, “We are facing an unexpected situation at school today. The school has received a security threat from an unknown source. As we place the safety of our children as the highest priority, we have removed the students from the school immediately.” “Why did you decide?”
Meanwhile, after receiving the bomb threat, a senior official said, “At the moment it looks like a fake email. We will complete the search operation soon. However, we request parents not to panic. Last year too, mischievous elements had sent similar emails to several schools.”
