Tirupati: A person from Pune was killed and another was seriously injured in a clash between residents of Tirupati and Maharashtra in a dhaba hotel near Tirupati Renigunta. A group of 11 friends from Pune and surrounding areas of Maharashtra came to Tirupati for darshan of Srivari. On his way to Srikalahasti… He stopped at Santhosh Punjabi Dhaba Hotel on the roadside between Gurti Waripalli – Mallavaram, Renigunta mandal in Margamadhya.

After some time, six people from Tirupati city reached near the dhaba after drinking alcohol. In this sequence, the car they were traveling in suddenly braked and a lot of dust arose. In the same hotel, while the people from Maharashtra were sitting and eating, dust fell on their plates.

This led to a clash between the residents of Tirupati and the people of Maharashtra who were enraged. Rimant Jagapath and Kuldeep from Pune were seriously injured. The police shifted both of them to Tirupati Ruyaspati. Rishat Jagwat died while undergoing treatment. The Renigunta police registered a case based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s friends. It is reported that the police have already detained three people from Aruguri of Tirupati. The rest are cheering for them. A postmortem was conducted on Rivant’s body and the body was handed over to the family.
