Naxalite Women Arrested: Mango Nureti alias Sindhu, a woman Naxalite who was absconding after being injured in the Naxalite and police encounter that took place in Kanker, Chhattisgarh on April 12, was arrested by the Navrangpur Police team of South Odisha on the night of April 20 and handed over to Chhattisgarh Police.

It is noteworthy that 29 Naxalites were killed in this encounter and some of the dreaded Naxalite leaders were also included, a reward of lakhs of rupees was placed on them.

District Superintendent of Police gave information

Giving information about this, Navrangpur District Superintendent of Police Rohit Verma has said that in view of the possibility of Naxalites entering the Odisha border after the encounter in Chhattisgarh, anti-Naxal operation was started by Navrangpur District Police on the morning of Saturday, April 20. to be done.

Two teams of DVF, one of SOG and CRPF 12th battalion were involved in this operation. During this operation, in the evening, injured woman Naxalite Mango Nureti alias Sindhu was arrested from a house in Kundei police station area of ​​Navrangpur district located on Chhattisgarh border.

Told this during interrogation

During interrogation, Navrangpur police came to know that Mango alias Sindhu was also involved in the encounter that took place on April 12 and after getting injured, she had escaped and hid in a village on the Odisha frontier. After this revelation, Navrangpur Police contacted Dhamtari District Police of Chhattisgarh and handed over information about this to them for further action.

During interrogation, Navrangpur police came to know that Mango Nureti of Ekwari village under Khallari police station of Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh had joined the Sitanadi Area Committee in the year 2021.
