Four more people arrested in connection with leak of recruitment exam question paper in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, April 21 (Language) The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police has launched a probe after the question paper of the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) recruitment examination for the year 2023 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has been leaked. Four people have been arrested in the case.

The STF said in a statement issued here on Sunday that the arrests were made in Lucknow on Saturday. The arrested people have been identified as Sharad Singh Patel and Abhishek Shukla, residents of Lucknow, Kamlesh Kumar Pal and Arpit Vineet, residents of Prayagraj.

According to the statement, one question paper, cash worth more than Rs 2.02 lakh, nine mobile phones, two Aadhar cards and two cars have been recovered from the arrested people.

Earlier, STF had arrested Arun Kumar and Saurabh Shukla from Lucknow on March 14 and Amit Singh from Lucknow on April 4.

The STF said in the statement that a case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act.

The Uttar Pradesh government had canceled the preliminary exam held on February 11 this year on March 12 after receiving reports of paper leak.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given instructions to re-conduct the examination within six months. STF was handed over the investigation of the paper leak case. Language Salim Zoheb
