QS World University Rankings 2024: Indian universities ranked second in Asia in World University Rankings – Telugu News | QS University Rankings President praises India and it’s NEP for highest performance improvement among G20 Nations

It is known that the QS World University Rankings were released on April 10. Indian universities have shown the highest performance improvement among G20 countries. Three Indian universities have made it to the top 50. Ahmedabad (IIAM) is in the top-25, while Bangalore (IIAM) and Calcutta (IIAM) are in the top 50. India is progressing rapidly in the field of education. A total of 69 Indian universities have made it to the subject-wise QS World University Rankings with 424 entries. This is a 19.4 percent increase from 355 last year. This year up to 72 percent of Indian entries are new to the list. 1 Top ranks include JNU, IIT-Bombay, IIT-Madras. . QR University President Nunzio Quacquarelli’s praised India for these rankings.

India is 2nd in Asia

India ranks 2nd in Asia in terms of number of universities (69). China (101) is ahead of India. In this, 30 entries were received from Delhi University, 28 from IIT Bombay and 27 from IIT Kharagpur. Quality education is one of the biggest challenges facing India. Privately run enterprises in India have made strides in several initiatives this year. These reflect well the role they play in driving India’s higher education sector forward.

Top five universities in the world:

UK’s University of Sussex took the first place in the world with 96.9 points. University of Oxford, SOAS University of London, London School of Economics and University of Cambridge occupy the top five positions. The subject saw a 32% year-on-year improvement in positions held by Indian universities in the QS World University Rankings by 2024 – the highest percentage growth of any G20 country. The most encouraging trend is that India is performing well compared to the G20 countries. When India hosts the G20 Summit in 2023, India will lead many discussions on the global economy. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, education has been one of the main focal points for change in the way the world perceives India, not just in the country.
