Trains are being affected in Firozpur division for the last five days and due to diversion of long distance trains, extra time is being taken. At the same time, passengers are facing problems due to the trains not arriving on time.
There is a huge decline in the number of passengers in railways
Due to this, passengers are preferring the road route and if we talk about Firozpur division, in the last five days, 4765 passengers have canceled their tickets instead of traveling by railways. Due to this, the department had to issue refunds worth Rs 25 lakh 9 thousand 310 in five days. Along with this, there has also been a huge decline in the number of passengers traveling daily in the Railways.

Railway administration suffered loss
Many trains in Punjab have been cancelled, diverted and short terminated by Firozpur division. In this, 60 trains were diverted, 2 short terminated and 41 trains cancelled. While the passengers have to face problems due to this, the railway administration has also suffered losses due to this.

At this time, a large number of travelers go for long distance journey in Ludhiana. Due to elections, workers are also turning to their villages for voting. In such a situation, the rush at the station has increased due to the impact of inflow of trains.
