Lok Sabha Elections 2024: A political uproar has arisen over a statement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi before the second phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Making this an issue on behalf of the Congress, the party delegation met the Election Commission on Monday (April 22, 2024). Appearing, lawyer and senior Congress leader Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi said- We hope that the Election Commission will take action.
Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, “Our complaint number is 17. How did PM Modi make such a statement? The Election Commission should take action against him. I consider it ugly. According to a senior Congress leader, “The picture you have put up of the ruling party only talks about religion. We talk about religion only at home and do not go to seek votes on it. You have not created a level playing field in the election field. You have given a new date for the elections. 17 complaints have been given from our side. The Election Commission should take action on this statement.
On PM’s comment related to Muslims, he said – This was a lewd statement, in which a community is described along with its name. It was said that Congress will give everything to this community and this community has been linked with infiltrators. Words like Mangalsutra have also been used. He has attacked the identity of the Indian Constitution.
