Relief to Shibu Soren from Delhi High Court, stay on investigation of JMM’s properties till May 10

Central President of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Shibu Soren has got relief from Delhi High Court. The court has put a stay on the investigation of JMM’s properties till May 10 and has asked not to take any action.

Ranchi: JMM Central President Shibu Soren has got relief from Delhi High Court. Justice Subramaniam Prasad has put a stay on the investigation of JMM’s properties till May 10. Lokpal has been barred from taking any action till May 10 after the CBI filed a report on the investigation of two properties allegedly belonging to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) central president Shibu Soren. Justice Subramaniam Prasad has issued a notice on JMM’s petition to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, who had complained to the Lokpal.

Lokpal’s order was challenged
Lokpal’s order of March 4 was challenged in the petition of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). In this, CBI was directed to investigate two properties owned by the ruling party of Jharkhand. In this case, Delhi High Court has fixed May 10 for further hearing.

Lokpal had instructed CBI to investigate
Lokpal has also directed CBI to investigate two properties belonging to JMM. Lokpal had passed this instruction while settling the complaint of BJP’s Godda MP Nishikant Dubey on August 5, 2020.
On the complaint of BJP MP, Lokpal has directed CBI to investigate the alleged benami properties related to JMM chief Shibu Soren within six months.
