New Delhi: Wicked thugs took a person in such confidence that he sold his house on the pretense of doubling the money. 21 lakh rupees obtained from this were given to fraudsters to double it. Why do spices do business?

Sunil Kumar (45) lives in Prem Vihar of Shiv Vihar. He deals in spices in Gokulpuri Sabzi Mandi. He told the police that two persons named Ajay and Rajesh came to the shop about six months ago to buy spices. Then they started coming often. Meanwhile, both told that they double the money. Sunil came to this talk. At around 10:30 am on April 17, both the accused came and took cash of Rs 21 lakh from Sunil. After this, he wrapped the cash in four towels and told them, don’t open it after that, it will double. When the victim opened the towels at around 7 pm on April 18, there were bundles of paper in them. When he called, the phone of the accused was switched off.

Sunil’s wife told that her husband sold his 50 yard house to double the amount. The family now lives in a rented house. The accused told the husband that no one should be at home when they come to collect the money. So the husband had a fight and forcibly sent her out of the house. She returned the next day and started checking the towels. Husband started saying open the mind now. On insisting, the towels were opened and a bundle of paper came out.
