School timings changed in these districts

  • School timings have been changed due to the hit wave in Ballia, UP. Now in Ballia, classes from class 1 to class 8 will be conducted from 7:30 am to 12.30 noon. This rule will come into effect from April 24. The order to change the timings of schools has been issued by District Basic Education Officer Manish Kumar Singh.
  • Due to the scorching heat and heat wave, Agra District Magistrate Bhanu Chandra Goswami has changed the timings of all government, non-government, private and missionaries schools in the district from nursery to class 12th. Classes will be held from 7 am to 12:30 pm in all schools from Wednesday till further orders. During this period, all educational and other activities of students will be prohibited in the open spaces of the school premises. All teachers and other school employees engaged in Lok Sabha election duty will continue school and election work as per earlier instructions.
  • Keeping in mind the rising temperature in Jharkhand, classes for children from Kindergarten to 8th will run from 7 am to 11.30 am till April 30. Students from 9th to 12th will attend classes till 12 noon.

Schools will remain closed in these districts

  • Due to voting for Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, District Magistrate Shailendra Kumar Singh has ordered to keep government, non-government, private and all missionary schools closed on 25 and 26 April. Whereas due to voting on 26th April, there will be public holiday in schools.

Summer holiday in Odisha from Thursday

Keeping in mind the increasing heat and the health of children, the Naveen Patnaik government of Odisha has announced summer vacation. Under this, summer vacation is starting from April 25 in all the schools of the state. Schools will run from 6.30 am to 10.30 am from April 22 to 24. Earlier, due to heatwave warning, the state government had announced holidays in all schools between April 18 to 20 and now it has announced summer holidays.
