Dubai: When India and Pakistan clashed in the Asia Cup, a native of UP who wore a Pakistan jersey would not even think about the situation when he came home. Sayam Jaiswal, a resident of Bareilly in UP, wore the Pakistan jersey and carried the Pakistan flag during the India-Pak match in Dubai. The problems started when his pictures were circulated all over the country.

Jaiswal is a liquor dealer in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The ‘job’ for the young man was that he came to watch the game in Dubai, wearing a Pakistani jersey, holding a Pakistani flag in one hand and the tricolor in the other. But Jaiswal says that he did not wear the Pak jersey on purpose. Looked for Indian jerseys but none left, all sold out. Then he wore the Pakistan jersey as a joke. But the youth said that the supporters of the Pakistan team got angry when they started chanting Hindustan Zindabad slogans while wearing Pakistan jerseys. But Jaiswal is now being called a pro-Pakistan youth by the locals. A complaint has also been received in the police requesting that a case be filed against him.
