Chalakudy: Relatives of Malayalees who were victims of fraud in Israel filed a complaint against the Pariaram native to the Chalakudy DYSP. About 40 people from different districts of the state filed a complaint on behalf of Lijo George of Pariyaram. The complaint is that Lijo George and his team cheated 13 crores in Israel.
Chalakudy police is conducting an investigation in this regard as per the instructions of the Chief Minister. Apart from this, a new case was also registered. According to the complaint, a woman native of Kannur also committed the fraud. Hundreds of Malayalis were illegally registered by the group. It was suggested that others should send their monthly numbers online to pay the person who won the lottery in the previous month.
According to this, they found out very late that the money sent by the owners every month was to Lijo’s benami. Meanwhile, many who won the lottery did not get their money. As soon as the light came on, the operators left the place. A complaint was filed in Kerala through the relatives of the cheated people who were unable to file a complaint with the Israeli police. But the locals say that Lijo George’s house in Pariyaram has been closed for years. Sebitomas of Adimali and Shanti Johny of Kottiyur said that a total fraud of 50 crores was done.
