SpiceJet Flight From Nashik To Bound Returns Delhi Due To Autopilot Snag

SpiceJet Flight : Technical flaws in SpiceJet flights are constantly coming to the fore. Once again a major accident has been averted. Actually, SpiceJet flights from New Delhi to Nashik had to return to Delhi midway due to a glitch in the ‘autopilot’. SpiceJet B737 flight SG 8363 took off from Delhi to Nashik at 6:54 am.

SpiceJet has been involved in several such incidents in the past, following which the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a show-cause notice to the airline. This time too there has been a lot of negligence. The failure of the auto pilot system in mid-air could have caused a major accident.

At the same time, a DGCA official said that an ‘autopilot’ glitch was observed in the SpiceJet B737, after which the flight made an emergency landing at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. He said the Boeing 737 plane landed safely.

Earlier in July, Aviation Watchdog had said that SpiceJet has failed to provide safe, efficient and reliable air services. He had said that in such a situation why action should not be taken against him. It later ordered the airline to operate a maximum of 50 per cent of its flights.
