Heavy rain alert has been issued in Himachal Pradesh for two days. According to the Meteorological Center Shimla, there is a forecast of bad weather in the state till September 6. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain on September 3 and 4. At the same time, during the last 24 hours, 49 mm of rain has been recorded in Naina Devi, Jogindernagar 5, Dharamsala III, Shimla-3 and Palampur. In view of the heavy rain alert, local people and tourists have been advised to stay away from rivers and streams. People have been asked to follow the advisory issued by the administration from time to time.

Till Wednesday evening, vehicular movement was stalled on 34 roads in the state. Nine roads remained closed in Kullu, eight each in Mandi-Chamba, five in Shimla, two in Kangra and one each in Solan-Kinnaur. Four power transformers are also closed in Mandi and one each in Kullu-Chamba. Eight houses were damaged in the state on Wednesday. It was sunny in the capital Shimla till noon. In the evening it rained in the city. It rained in Dharamsala at 3:00 pm. Due to the sunshine, the maximum temperature in Una has reached 36 degree Celsius.
