CM KCR made sensational comments on central investigation agencies. He commented that it is not appropriate for organizations like CBI to infiltrate the state. He alleged that the BJP government at the center is misusing the CBI, ED and IT. KCR spoke to the national media after meeting Bihar CM Nitish Kumar in Patna on Wednesday. CM KCR supported CBI not being allowed into Bihar. KCR called on every state in the country to do the same. He said that peace and security is a matter within the state. He said that it is not right for organizations like CBI to intrude into states.
It is noteworthy that KCR has made these comments in the context of similar demands being made by the leaders of the Grand Alliance in power in Bihar. According to the section of the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946. In order to conduct an investigation in any state, the permission of the state government must be taken before the CBI. If the states withdraw their general consent then the permission of the state government is mandatory to register any case within that state. Already 9 states including West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Meghalaya have withdrawn this type of consent. In the past, the AP government also withdrew its consent.
According to KCR’s words, speculations have started that CM KCR has given signals that Telangana state is also ready to take a similar decision in the matter of CBI if the situation changes. Before the 2019 elections, the ruling TDP government in AP also took a similar decision. The CBI has issued orders that permission must be taken to enter the state. In the Delhi liquor scam, allegations were made against CM KCR’s daughter and MLC Kavitha.
