CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.. Bulldozer Action In Assam: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is taking a hard line against terrorist activities. The Assam police have identified the terrorist activities taking place in the center of madrasas and are making arrests one after another. Terrorist activities have been identified especially in the districts of Bangladesh around the Brahmaputra river. Especially from Bangladesh they are illegally infiltrating into India and teaching terror in many madrasas. Assam Police thwarted the plans of Ansarullah Bangla Team terrorists working as an affiliate of Al Qaeda. The government cracked down on the management of some illegal madrassas. Himanta Biswa Sharma government has ordered to provide complete details regarding Madrasas to the government.

Meanwhile, CM Himanta Biswa Sharma has issued a strong warning that madrassas involved in anti-India activities will be demolished. The announcement came after authorities demolished a madrassa building used for ‘jihadi’ activities in Bongaigaon district on Wednesday. Biswa Sharma said that we have no intention to demolish madrassas, but only to prevent them from being used by jihadis. He warned that if there is information that they are being used for anti-India activities, we will definitely destroy them.
On Monday, the authorities demolished the madrasa in Barpet district, which earlier provided shelter to Bangladeshi people for four years. In an operation conducted by the Gol Para police on Tuesday night, the police seized documents related to jihadi elements. Madrasah teachers and other people involved in this incident have been detained by the police. Assam Police has busted five modules related to Al Qaeda in the Indian subcontinent. Since March, the police have arrested more than 40 people suspected of having jihadi links, including Bangladeshis.
