Jharkhand Crisis: Governor, BJP is demanding Hemant’s resignation, read what happened to UPA leaders

Ranchi, State Bureau. Jharkhand Political Crisis A delegation of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) met Governor Ramesh Bais at the Raj Bhavan on Thursday and demanded disclosure of the recommendation of the Election Commission in the matter of canceling the membership of the Assembly of Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the Office of Profit case. He also urged for early action on the recommendation of the commission so that the atmosphere of political instability created in the state can be ended. Citing the confusion among the people, the delegation urged to clarify the situation in this regard at the earliest.

For the first time the Governor accepted the letter.

The Governor, while officially accepting the letter from the Election Commission for the first time, assured the delegation of taking appropriate action at the earliest. In the meeting with the Governor for about half an hour, the delegation said that due to the Raj Bhavan not clarifying the position in this matter, an atmosphere of political instability and horse trading has been created. Whatever news is coming in the media is coming from Raj Bhavan sources. On this, the Governor said that there is no source of Raj Bhavan, nor has any statement been given to the media by Raj Bhavan. Due to legal opinion being taken, no decision has been taken on the recommendation of the commission so far.

Ambiguity in letter on one or two points: Supriyo

Talking to the media, JMM’s Central General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya, who was part of the delegation after meeting the Governor, said that the Governor has spoken about ambiguity of one or two points in the letter received from the Election Commission. He has assured that after taking legal opinion on this, appropriate action will be taken in a day or two. When Supriyo was asked whether the Governor had given any information about the recommendation to cancel Hemant’s membership in the letter of the Commission, he said that the Governor only said that the letter of the Commission has been received in the said matter. At the same time, MP Vijay Hansda said that with the assurance of the Governor, he is sure that the situation will be clear in a day or two. If this does not happen, then the Grand Alliance will decide the strategy ahead.

Complaint about the interview of Babulal to the Governor

The UPA delegation, in its memorandum submitted to the Governor, has said that no public announcement has been made so far about the report given to the Raj Bhavan by the Election Commission. But the state’s biggest opposition Bharatiya Janata Party has made a public announcement about this report. On this basis, she is demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Not only this, the possibility of mid-term elections is also being expressed in the state. Also objected to the statement given by BJP Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi on a channel in which he said that if the UPA has to form the government, the MLAs will have to return. Said that the intention of the BJP is clear from this.

Cancellation of membership will not affect the government

In the memorandum submitted to the Governor, while addressing the Governor, it has also been said that you are aware that the cancellation of the Chief Minister’s membership will not affect the government, because the JMM, Congress and RJD alliance has an absolute majority. Therefore, with a heavy heart, we request you to clarify the position at the earliest on the decision taken by the Raj Bhavan on the recommendation of the Election Commission.

Had reached Raj Bhavan with a bundle of newspapers
